(C) SELECTING OBJECTIVES

One of the most important results that meaningful agenda for a Web 2.0 conference will provide is the selection of clear objectives. Objectives can be thought of as the elements in a task analysis aimed at achieving an outcome. The critical question guiding the construction of objectives is “What do participants need to learn to reach an outcome?” What knowledge, skills, attitudes, and actions are required? Good objective design optimizes the participant’s focus, which then accelerates the entire group’s learning. It will also keep group members at high levels of resourcefulness throughout the entire process.

The exhibit below demonstrates how (C Stating the Objectives) can be used to communicate the desired objectives for a Web 2.0 conference.
