The first step in the agenda-design process (Letter A in the Collaboration Model) is to decide the title of the presentation, name of the presenter or presenters, and the amount of time that will be allotted for the Web 2.0 conference. Once these items are decided, the presenter must explain the purpose of the collaboraive conference as it relates to the desired outcome.
At this point, it is important to begin looking at ways to motivate the audience with a specific message. Since each member of the audience will want to know what the future development plan will do for them, this message should include the results of the assessment and how future planning will provide service for each of the stakeholders. The figure below demonstrates how item (A Establishing the Message) can be used to communicate the purpose of the Web 2.0 conference.
